Adela's is worth the hype! So glad we were able to make the stop to get some plates. We came around lunch time and there was a line but they move fast because they take your order and tell you a time to come back but they will call you as well. Just be aware that there is no indoor seating but that just makes it a perfect plate of food to eat by a lookout or beach! You're greeted by the owner who is the sweetest and takes your order. Onto the best part.....the food! Nothing disappointed here! These plates are big enough to share with two. One of the patrons in line gave us their recommendation because we couldn't decide and so glad we took their recommendation. We got the teriyaki braised short rib. It just came off the bone and was so tender! Flavorful! Now the standout is the Garlic Malunggay pasta with Lechon!! The Lechon was crispy just as it should be. I didn't know what to expect with the malunggay but it was so good and we got a little spicy per the patron and so glad we did! It just added the right amount of kick to the dish without making it too spicy to eat. They both taste good the following day! We also decided to the Ube cheesecake and it was very creamy! Not too sweet which we preferred. The one thing we wish was that the crust was thicker because it was tasty and wanted more of the macadamia crust! So sad we can only find this in Oahu! But just gives me more reason to come back! Do yourself a favor and try it out!

The food was amazing!!! The garlic butter sauce was SO flavorful and the employees were so so nice! The vibe inside the store was super small and cute and also had desserts! I can't wait to try more food from this place.

Finally made it to Adela's Country Eatery! Thanks to my sweet cousin for suggesting we pick up lunch at Adela's and picking me up. The drive to Kaneohe isn't too bad from town but it's not exactly close. Based on the pasta we had, I'd definitely drive to Kaneohe because the food is worth it. We got to Adela's before they opened. As soon as they opened we rushed to get in line and were #2. Millie (the owner) sweetly informed us that our food would take 45 minutes. That had us scratching our heads. But it actually was very accurate! We both ordered the pasta with lechon. My cousin had the malunguy pasta (4/5) and I opted for ulu (4/5). We also got the sweet potato haupia dessert (4/5). Both options were delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, was mildly flavored, and had a good chew. The lechon was delicious, fatty, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The vinegar dipping sauce added an addictive sourness that really enhanced the crispy pork. I loved the sweet potato haupia dessert. The crust was a little mushy which made me think it was made a day or two ago. Nonetheless it was a rich and satisfying dessert. I also bought dry pasta ($11/ea) to bring home It apparently lasts 3 months. So it can be brought back to the mainland as omiyaage. Portions are ample and prices fair (given the fact our 2 pastas and dessert cost a little over $60). I think one order of pasta can feed 2 people easily. Pro tip: order ahead and avoid very long wait times of one hour or more. I think that is why we waited over 45 minutes (even though we were 2nd in line). The best part of Adela's is Millie. She is the sweetest and makes you feel welcome and happy to support the restaurant. I'd definitely return for the warm feeling of Aloha and delicious food. FIVE STARS ISN'T ENOUGH FOR ADELA'S! THEY SHOULD HAVE SIX STARS! Adela's has well-deserved national hype from Yelp and USA Today. In short, you'll not only get unique, freshly made noodle dishes, but you'll also receive the warmest "Aloha." I've loved Adela's even before their national hype! I first heard of this place not from local friends, but from Mikey Chen's YouTube videos. He was raving about these moringa (malunggay) noodles. As locals know, unless you live on the Windward side of Oahu, driving to Adela's would be a journey...but worthwhile! VISIT #1: 2021 Fortunately, I timed my long awaited first visit to Adela's with an appointment I had at the Ko'olau DMV. Right after my appointment, I called Adela's to order takeout. I ordered two of Adela's recommended plates--the Garlic Ulu (Breadfruit) Pasta with Portobello Mushroom, and the Lechon Pork Belly Malunggay Pasta. Since I knew wait times were on average 45 minutes (pre-national hype), I spent waiting time by jogging along the Kawai Nui Marsh Trail (beautiful and I highly recommend). When my order was ready, I drove to Adela's and Aunty Millie gave me the warmest greeting over her cute microphone and plexiglass! I took the food over to town where I met my husband, and both the garlic ulu pasta with portobello mushrooms and the lechon malunggay pasta tasted so amazing. It was almost like being in heaven! Since Adela's is in Kaneohe on the Windward side, it was years until... VISIT #2: 2023 I tried visiting another time in early 2023 while I was on the go on the Windward side, but I couldn't fit in an hourlong wait, and they just opened too! This time, hubby and I timed our second visit to Adela's with an errands visit to the Windward mall. We ordered one of Adela's seasonal pasta dishes, the pumpkin pasta with curry cream sauce, plus their famous mango cheesecake and ate them outside Target. Again, Aunty Millie was so sweet and our dinner almost tasted like heaven! Adela's food seriously tastes more delicious than many fancy restaurants with waiter service on the island. I have some tips to make that 45-60 minute worthwhile wait for food to be more bearable: - Call when you're truly 45-60 minutes away from Kaneohe - Run errands or hangout at the indoor Windward Mall while waiting - Go for a stroll or jog at Kawai Nui Marsh Park! Adela's is seriously one of my top restaurants for their unique pasta dishes and cheesecakes. I wouldn't mind coming her for a low maintenance, but quality birthday or Valentine's Day celebration!

Adela's is a food place that makes a variety of unique noodles. They only does to-go orders, so it's not a sit down restaurant. The food takes a while to be ready because of how busy they are. No matter what day it is, make sure you call an hour ahead of time to place your order. They are a bit far from Waikiki, but the food is good enough to try at least once. * Taro Special 4.5/5 - I got this but with ube pasta instead of taro pasta. The ube pasta was soft with a slight ube flavor. It was so good in the coconut cream sauce. Almost like an Alfredo pasta but with coconut cream. * Malunggay Pasta 4/5 - This tasted like normal pasta, but I did enjoy how it was cooked in garlic butter sauce with a hint of spiciness. It helped balance out the creaminess of the Taro pasta special. * Lechon 4/5 - This was roasted pork belly. It was delicious, but mushy instead of crispy since it sat too long in the togo box. I wish they have a sit down location for dining. * Brisket 4/5 - This was good, very tender and fall apart easily. I got this as a side meat with the pasta, making it cheaper. If you got this alone, it'd be more expensive. * Matcha Cheesecake 2/5 and Ube Cheesecake 3/5 - The cheesecakes sounded interesting, but they were not good. The texture was very dense. The matcha's bitterness didn't taste right in the cheesecake. The Ube cheesecake was slightly better.

Love the call in ordering so you don't have to wait there. Called around 11 and it was a 45min wait. Once we arrived there were a few parking spots in front. The owner is super sweet and so efficient in taking orders in person and on the phone which was ringing non-stop. Small but very clean and organized store meant only for takeout orders. The food is pricey approx $25/order but a very large shareable portion. It would be great to have an option of ordering half sizes so I could try more menu items.

This place is so good that we came here two days in a row. We craved it so much that we drove over here after checking out North Shorth. It's takeout only, so I suggest calling because it takes around 40 mins at least. You can make your own pasta, but we opted for one of the popular dishes, the lechon malanga. The pasta is expensive, but the portions are huge. Not only do they give you a lot of noodles and meat. If you're eating this alone, you can eat this for a couple of meals. Service is on point! Shout out to Mellie for helping us out both times :)

Located in Kāneʻohe across from Windward VA Clinic and Windward Urgent Care, Adela's is a staple eatery for a reason! They use extra produce from local farmers to make their fresh handmade pasta, including ulu, mallungay and taro. TIP: Be sure to call your order ahead! My friend and I were going to pick up on the way to eat at our friend's house nearby. It was an hour and a half wait. So luckily we timed driving from town so by the time we got there and waited in line, our order was ready. We had: - Garlic Ulu pasta with Portabello mushroom - taro pasta with coconut sauce, mushrooms, spinach and shrimp - Malunggay pasta with Lechón Kawali. All were so good and portions are huge! I highly recommend ordering and sharing family style like we did so you can try different ones. Millie is the sweetest lady. I love that she wears a microphone so that you can hear what she is saying. She has been there forever and she is the best! Cheers to Adela's Country Eatery in Kāneʻohe!

To go only! This place needs an instruction manual. Restaurant is small, with a pretty detailed menu, and super customizable. Like earlier people have mentioned, order in advance to avoid the wait. The create your own pasta with fresh house-made noodles made with Hawaiian ingredients, for example taro or bread fruit noodles is pretty unique-- and can be hard to decide for first timers. They also have a wide assortment of desserts, so this place is an easy crowd please for most people. The staff here is also top notch and super friendly, provided recommendations and really top notch service. Food portion is huge and easily can feed the hungriest of peoples. My disappointment though is that I'm a big fan of freshness, and really wasn't able to enjoy the food fresh off the stove. Everything was packed, waiting for me, and then we had to drive a good bit of time to find a place to eat it. At that point, food was still warm, but you got what you got, and it's hard to ask for extra sauce or anything else--- make sure you get enough chopsticks and forks! We ordered two different noodles, but overall the flavors between the different noodles were nuanced at best. Cheesecake was overall solid, slightly on the sweeter side, but didn't wow me. This is all on top of the ~40-60 min wait for ordering and waiting for the food.

We learned from the first time we came here to order before coming. Otherwise, you're in for a lengthy wait. We ordered two create your own pastas. The first was ube noodles, Alfredo sauce, and shrimp. The second was ulu noodles, coconut cream, and brisket with pineapple bbq sauce. We also walked away with ube cheesecake this time. Hard to resist the desserts when there's so many delicious desserts in front of you. The restaurant was busy as usual. Aunty Millie was at the counter as usual, handling the dinner rush well in her glowing saint like aura. Still the best customer service in the state. In a few minutes we walked away with our food. Both were just as good. The coconut cream and bbq sauce blend was unique and worked. It was so good I had to try very hard not to eat it all in one go as portions are big. The shrimp was also good. Very creamy as well in their Alfredo and maybe less sweetness than the brisket noodles. The cheesecake was also good. Good ube and dessert overall. We'll definitely be back the next time we're around Kaneohe. There's always more combinations to try.
